FIRM is a HUD-Certified Housing Counseling Agency. We provide free housing counseling services in Hmong, Lao and English. FIRM provides the following types of HUD-approved Housing Counseling Services and Group Education Workshops:
- Financial Management/Credit Counseling
- Homeless Assistance Counseling
- Rental Topic Counseling and Education
- Pre-Purchase/Homebuying Counseling and Education
- Financial Literacy (including home affordability, budgeting and understanding use of credit)
- Predatory Lending, Loan Scam or Other Fraud Prevention
- Fair Housing Counseling and Education
In FY2020, FIRM provided housing counseling services to over 100 families in addition to our housing advocacy or legal services partners.
We are a proud part of the National CAPACD network of organizations providing housing counseling to Asian and Pacific Islander American communities across the country.
