Housing Counseling

We provide language support in English, Hmong, Lao, Khmer, Ukrainian, Russian, Dari/Farsi, Pashto, and Arabic.

FIRM is a HUD-Certified Housing Counseling Agency. We provide no cost counseling services for tenants and landlords in English, Hmong, Lao, Khmer, Ukrainian, Russian, Dari/Farsi, Pashto, Hindi, and Arabic . We provide the following types of HUD-approved Housing Counseling Services and Group Education Workshops:

• Financial Management/Credit Counseling
• Homeless Assistance Counseling
• Rental Topic Counseling and Education
• Pre-Purchase/Homebuying Counseling and Education
• Financial Literacy (including home affordability, budgeting and understanding use of credit)
• Predatory Lending, Loan Scam or Other Fraud Prevention
• Fair Housing Counseling and Education

In FY2020, FIRM provided housing counseling services to over 100 families in addition to our housing advocacy or legal services partners.
