It is with great enthusiasm, hope, and joy that the board of directors of FIRM announces its next executive director, Zachary D. Darrah.
Zach comes to us from Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission Local Conservation Corps where he served effectively as Program Manager for the CORPS Program. Zach is a teaching pastor at Fresno First Baptist Church and has been engaged in the life of the Fresno Community for some time. He is a graduate of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts, Theological Studies and Fresno Pacific University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.
His strengths in cultural competency, administration, supervision, interaction with the public, fund raising, and visioning impressed the board. It was after a great deal of prayer and seeking that the board reached this decision unanimously and we are excited to present Mr. Darrah to the community.
You will be hearing more about and from him in the near future. His work starts with us on July 1.
We deeply appreciate the leadership of Sophia Dewitt and Paula Cha as interim co-directors during this time of transition. Along with our finance manager, Linda Bowman, FIRM has grown in many areas and remained a solid, viable force. Their investment of their lives and love into FIRM leave a lasting impact that they are forever a part of our family.
Our staff and volunteers have been stellar in their commitment and effectiveness in these days.
As we enter a new era, there will be many new people to serve, new projects to launch, and new ways of looking at the future, even as we begin to shape the future. The legacy of all who have been at the core of what FIRM is about is what we shall build upon as we prepare to soar above all we ever hoped or expected.
Zach Darrah will stand on the shoulders of giants, but he will also assume a place of leadership as a new kind of visionary for a new time. Pray for him and his beautiful family, including his wife, Mary, as he assumes this demanding role.
Welcome to the family, Zach Darrah!
