Facility Rental

COVID-19 update: Due to the Shelter-In-Place and Stay At Home orders, FIRM is not currently renting out any spaces on campus. We look forward to hosting your events in the future when it is safe and responsible to do so. 

Several spaces on the FIRM campus are available for rental on both weekdays and weekends.  FIRM offers tables, chairs, a projector/projector screen, kitchen space (large and small), a sound system and more for your convenience.

Community Room

(Capacity is approximately 150)

Rev. Dr. Sharon Stanley-Rea Center

(Includes Large Kitchen Space/Capacity is approximately 250)

This beautiful space was remodeled in late 2018 with new flooring, new LED lighting, new interior paint and updated bathrooms.  It is named after Sharon Stanley-Rea, the founding Executive Director of FIRM.  This space is perfect for large gatherings, weddings, family events and more!

Neng Thao Memorial Conference Room

(Capacity is 20+)

In May of 2017, a young man named Neng Thao tragically drowned in the San Joaquin River about a month before his graduation from Edison High School.  He was the Valedictorian of his class, an engaged community advocate for the Southeast Asian community and headed to UC Berkeley in the fall.  We had the pleasure of getting to know Neng through the Boys and Men of Color Program at FIRM.  During his funeral, FIRM made a promise to Neng’s parents that we would not let Neng be forgotten.  As part of that promise, the Neng Thao Memorial Conference Room was created in the summer of 2017.  The space was completely remodeled and includes pictures of Neng’s life throughout.  

We hope that this space will honor his legacy, inspire other young advocates in the community and be a place of remembrance for the entire community of one who left us too soon.

The rent for any of these spaces is $250 for a half-day (up to 4 hours), and $500 for a full-day (4 hours or more).  Interested groups must request the facilities 2-weeks in advance and once their request is approved, a contract can be completed.  FIRM also offers a CBO/non-profit rate!
