Fresno Immigrant and Refugee Ministries (FIRM)
Since 1994, Fresno Immigrant and Refugee Ministries (FIRM) has supported refugee communities in the Central San Joaquin Valley, including Hmong, Laotian, Slavic, Afghan, African, and Syrian families.
Through our welcoming, community building, and community health programs, we provide services for all ages in 12 different languages. We offer a free health clinic every Wednesday afternoon in partnership with UCSF Fresno Mobile HeaL from 1pm to 4pm, which includes childhood vaccines, blood pressure, diabetes screenings, and free consultations with medical professionals.
FIRM has resettled 523 refugees in partnership with the Ethiopian Community Development Council (ECDC) over the past two years. We look forward to welcoming more refugees to Fresno and the Central Valley.

Since 1994, Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries (FIRM) has been meeting the needs of refugee community members in Fresno. Our mission is to build communities of hope with New Americans.
We do this in many different ways, to all ages from young children to elders. We are always pursuing new ways to meet the diverse needs of the people groups we serve, based on what we hear directly from the community. Our services span from Community Health Workers, after-school programs, to advocacy, to community gardens and much, much more! FIRM works directly with over 10,000 people from the refugee communities in the Central Valley each year!
FIRM is also a HUD-certified Housing Counseling Agency, offering housing navigation and financial counseling in 10 different languages!
